Is your Drupal website secure, compliant, and the fastest of them all?

Let’s put it to the test!

DrupalFit is an all-in-one platform for auditing and maintaining Drupal websites, offering ongoing security monitoring, accessibility assessments, performance improvements, and compliance checks to keep sites secure, inclusive, and efficient.

And DrupalFit is heading to Vienna with the ultimate contest: the DrupalFit Challenge - DrupalCon Vienna Edition. This is your chance to showcase your website’s health, compete with peers, and win fantastic prizes.

Online registration is closed. However, if you missed the online registration period, you can still join us in person at DrupalCon Vienna. Visit Booth No. G7 to enter and take a quick scan of your Drupal website on the DrupalFit site, and you'll be part of the challenge.

This challenge will put your Drupal website through a true fitness test that assesses strength across four essential areas: Security, Compliance, Accessibility, and SEO. We’ll evaluate everything from the safety of your site to its discoverability and inclusivity, giving you an accurate picture of how “fit” your Drupal site truly is.

What we check (examples of concrete metrics we’ll test):

  1. Performance: Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS), Time to Interactive, and First Contentful Paint.
  2. Security: OWASP top-10 style checks, SSL/TLS, and secure headers, known module vulnerabilities and exposures.
  3. Accessibility: Automated WCAG 2.1 A, AA, and AAA checks plus key manual checks (keyboard navigation, ARIA usage, alt text).
  4. SEO & Site Health: Indexability, metadata, structured data, sitemap, mobile-friendliness.
  5. Compliance: Privacy notices, cookie consent, basic GDPR/privacy checklist.

In this article, you’ll find a concise overview of the DrupalFit Challenge at DrupalCon Vienna 2025: how to get involved, how we evaluate sites, and how to enter for a chance to win exciting prizes.

To enter the challenge, run an audit of your site to see how it scores across security, SEO, accessibility, and compliance.

Run an Audit

Only the most secure, optimized, and inclusive websites will rise to the top!

What’s the Contest About?

The DrupalFit Challenge aims to assess your Drupal website thoroughly. Each participating site will be reviewed across four essential pillars of digital performance:

  1. Performance: How quick and responsive is your site for users?
  2. Security: Is your website protected against vulnerabilities and threats?
  3. Accessibility: Can everyone, including users with disabilities, easily navigate your site?
  4. Overall Site Health & SEO: How well optimized is your site for search engines and smooth functionality?

The objective is simple: to find out “Which Drupal website is the fittest of all?”

Whether you’re a developer, designer, or part of an organization, this challenge is your opportunity to evaluate your site’s real capabilities and benchmark it against other Drupal sites.

Contest Categories & Awards

Participants will compete in five categories, each recognizing excellence in a crucial area:

  1. Fittest Drupal Site: Awarded to the site with the highest combined score across Performance, Security, Accessibility, and Overall Site Health.
  2. Best in Security: For the website with the strongest security posture.
  3. Best in Performance: For the site with the fastest load times and smoothest UX.
  4. Best in Accessibility: For the site that demonstrates the highest level of inclusivity and accessibility.
  5. Community Choice Award: Voted on by the Drupal community (online and/or at the event).

These categories ensure every important dimension of site health is recognized.

See you in Vienna, may the fittest Drupal site win!
